Acting Dean of School of Education and Leadership Delivers 21st Endowment Fund Lecture for West African Examination Council

The Acting Dean of the School of Education and Leadership, University of Ghana, Professor Jonathan Fletcher, has ascribed the poor performance of students in Mathematics and Science to limited teaching and learning resources, unqualified Mathematics and Science teachers flooding the education sector and students’ unwillingness to invest quality time and effort in the study of the subjects.

Professor Fletcher was delivering the 21st Endowment Fund Lecture during the 64th annual meeting of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) held March 2016 in Ghana. The Lecture was delivered under the theme: “Performance in Mathematics and Science; Breaking the jinx”.
