COE Materials Office Holds Seminar On Procurement Processes

The College Materials Office recently hosted a two-day seminar on procurement processes for officials and staff of the College. Held at the Smart Classroom of the School of Continuing and Distance Education from 4th-5th March, 2024, the seminar covered topics such as the procurement processes, responsibilities of user departments, and the legal implications of non-compliance with procurement laws.

Annual Interaction With PhD Students

In a recent annual interaction, Prof. Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, the Provost of the College of Education, engaged with all PhD students enrolled in different programmes within the College. The hybrid interaction, which accommodated both in-person and virtual attendance, focused on discussing research progress, sharing ideas, addressing challenges, and exploring avenues of support from the College.

College of Education Provost engages with UG Press Staff

In an interactive session with staff of the UG Press recently, Prof. Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, Provost of the College of Education, explained the purpose for holding a separate session for the UG Press after his initial interaction with the College Staff. This, he said, would facilitate discussions regarding relevant issues related to the operation of the UG press.

College of Education Provost discusses Action Plan with Faculty Members

Prof. Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, Provost of the College of Education, recently held a series of meetings with Deans, Heads of Departments, and faculty members of constituent schools and departments to discuss the College’s Action Plan. The meeting, which took place from 28th February to 21st March, 2024, was also aimed at deliberating on the various initiatives that would shape the strategic direction of the College for the 2023/2024 academic year.

School of Information and Communication Studies Successfully Hosts Symposium on African Digital Humanities

The School of Information and Communication Studies at the University of Ghana, in collaboration with the University of Kansas, recently hosted the 2024 Symposium on African Digital Humanities. Held under the theme, "Digital Humanities, African Stories and Agency," the event convened graduate students and early-career faculty to explore the intersections of digital humanities with African narratives.

University of Ghana Takoradi City Campus (UGTCC) Holds Opening and Maiden Matriculation Ceremonies

The University of Ghana Takoradi City Campus has held an opening and maiden matriculation ceremony for its first cohort of students at a brief and colourful ceremony.
Welcoming the gathering, the Acting Principal of UGTCC, Prof. Bernardin Senadza, stated that the overall objective of the UGTCC is to provide a top-tier university education that equips students to excel, lead, and become responsible scholars, professionals and global citizens.

UNIVERSITY OF GHANA TAKORADI CITY CAMPUS ORGANISES FLOAT AND OPEN DAY

The University of Ghana Takoradi City Campus (UGTCC) recently organised a Float and Open Day as part of its sensitization exercise. The Open Day was preceded by a float, during which Officials from UGTCC were accompanied by police officers as they moved through the Takoradi Township, engaging with the community and sharing information about programmes offered at the UGTCC.
