Professor Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, Provost of the College of Education, has held end-of-year interactions with senior and junior staff on separate occasions as part of his annual engagements with faculty and staff.

The interaction, themed "Looking Back," served as a platform for Professor Codjoe to provide a comprehensive review of the College's major milestones, innovations and hurdles since he assumed office. The interaction was particularly significant as it coincided with the near-concluding phase of his first tenure as Provost.

Staff members commended the Provost for these efforts, which have significantly enhanced the College's standing and also acknowledged that the College has become a formidable college amongst the other prominent colleges on campus. During the interactive session, staff members expressed their gratitude whilst also outlining their concerns and challenges.

Professor Codjoe assured them that all the issues outlined would be addressed. A key moment of the meeting came when a proposal was made for the introduction of awards for each specialty within the College. Responding to this, Professor Codjoe explained that maintaining competitiveness across categories was essential and cautioned that awarding every specialty could lead to impractical demands.

He encouraged staff to continue excelling in their respective roles in their departments and schools. The Provost also reiterated his commitment to supporting staff interested in pursuing training programmes. He urged all the staff to periodically undertake refresher courses to remain updated on trends and developments in their fields, as well as other fields too.

In his closing remarks, Professor Codjoe stressed the importance of lifelong learning for all staff members. He said, "Regular professional development, regardless of one's specialty, was key in our efforts to enhance the College's competitiveness and maintain personal growth."

The meeting ended on a positive note, with staff expressing appreciation for the Provost's dedication to open engagement and his vision for the College's future.
