Provost Visits Cape Coast Learning Centre

The Provost of the College of Education, Prof. Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, visited the University of Ghana Learning Centre (UGLC) in Cape Coast on Tuesday, 20th September 2022.

The Cape Coast Learning Centre is one of eleven (11) Centres across the country and it is under the School of Continuing and Distance Education . The other Learning Centres are in Accra, Bolgatanga, Koforidua, Kumasi, Sekondi/Takoradi, Sunyani, Tamale, Tsito/Ho, Tema and Wa.

The UG Learning Centres are headed by Coordinators who oversee the activities of the centres including tutorials of Distance Education students, continuing professional development programmes for the youth and adults, non-formal programmes, and community engagements.

During his visit, Prof. Codjoe had a brief meeting with Dr Hayford Mensah Ayerakwa, the Coordinator of the Cape Coast Learning Centre. Later, he interacted with the entire staff of the centre on the challenges and possible prospects of the centre after which he was conducted round the entire facility. Prof. Codjoe crowned his visit with a short interaction with some of the students.
