Provost presenting the laptop computers to the Vice-Chancellor
The College of Education, led by its Provost, Prof. Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, has donated 15 laptop computers to support the Vice-Chancellor’s ‘One Student, One Laptop’ (1S1L) initiative.

According to Prof. Codjoe, the gesture is part of the College’s contribution to enhancing students’ experience, as clearly defined in the University’s Strategic Priority 1, ‘Transformative Student Experience.’
Prof. Codjoe also announced plans to support the Vice-Chancellor’s Classroom Modernisation Project and launch a scholarship scheme for graduate students.
Prof. Ernest Tweneboah Koduah
Prof. Ernest Tweneboah Koduah, a member of the 1S1L Committee, noted that over 400 students have benefited from the ‘1S1L’ initiative so far. This initiative has been a major step towards bridging the digital divide and ensuring that all students at the University of Ghana have equal opportunities to thrive in the digital age.
Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, while accepting the laptop computers, commended the College for its ambition and dedication to advancing the University’s mission. She expressed gratitude for the support and encouraged other Colleges to follow suit.
Ms. Pascaline Songsore
In her closing remarks, Ms. Pascaline Songsore, Senior Assistant Registrar at the Public Affairs Directorate, expressed gratitude to the College for their generous donation. She also thanked everyone present for contributing to the success of the brief ceremony.
