A delegation from the African American Male Education Network & Development (A²MEND) and the Bryant Educational Leadership Group, LLC (BELG), United States of America, has paid a courtesy call on the Provost of the College of Education, University of Ghana, Prof. Peter Quartey, ahead of the 3rd Biennial All-African Diaspora Educators Summit (ADES).

The visit, held on Tuesday, 22nd September, 2026, formed part of preparations for the Summit, scheduled for Monday, 28th September, 2026, at the Cedi Conference Centre, University of Ghana. The Summit is being organised by the College of Education in collaboration with A²MEND and BELG.

The delegation was led by Dr. Edward Bush, who expressed appreciation for the continued partnership between the organisations and the College. Reflecting on the success of the 2024 Summit, he noted that the collaboration had provided a strong foundation for the 2026 edition.

Dr. Bush explained that the delegation had arrived in Ghana ahead of the Summit to work closely with the College and ensure that all outstanding arrangements were addressed before the programme.

Welcoming the delegation, Prof. Quartey expressed the College's enthusiasm about renewing the collaboration with A²MEND and BELG for the third edition of the Summit.

He assured the delegation that preparations on the College's side were progressing as planned and that the College Registrar, Mr. Joseph Oduro Nkansah, together with the Local Organising Committee, was working diligently to ensure a successful Summit.

The Provost encouraged the delegation to communicate any additional requirements that might be necessary to facilitate the smooth organisation of the programme, assuring them of the College's readiness to support the remaining preparations.

Mr. Nkansah, who is also Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, briefed the delegation on arrangements made so far and provided an update on the various aspects of the Summit's preparations.

The delegation expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and commended the College for its continued support and commitment to the planning and organisation of the Summit.

The courtesy call reaffirmed the shared commitment of the College of Education, A²MEND and BELG to a successful 3rd Biennial All-African Diaspora Educators Summit and further strengthened the partnership between the collaborating institutions ahead of the event.
