College of Education, Holds Training on Effective Cleaning and Maintenance for Cleaners and Supervisors

The College of Education has organized a training programme on practical and effective cleaning and maintenance for cleaners in the College on the Legon campus, as well as their supervisors. The training was facilitated by ADVAL Global Ghana Limited, a professional cleaning organization, and cleaners and their supervisors were taken through practical demonstrations of effective cleaning and maintenance

Department of Information Studies holds Public Lecture to commemorate 70th Anniversary of University of Ghana

Mrs. Judith Opoku-Boateng, Archivist at the Institute of African Studies has presented a lecture on “The Roles of Archives in Nation Building, 70 years of University of Ghana’s Role in Unifying Cultures”, as part of activities organized by the Department of Information Studies to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the University of Ghana.

University of Ghana at 70: College of Education Launches Anniversary Celebrations

It was all fun and excitement at the Athletics Oval when the College of Education launched its activities marking the 70th Anniversary celebrations of the University of Ghana. The launch was marked with a talk on healthy lifestyles, an aerobics session, fun games and a tree planting exercise.

Congregation Ceremony for College of Education

A Congregation ceremony has been held for undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Education who successfully completed their programmes and met requirements for graduation in the 2017/2018 academic year. A total of 1409 students made up of 1147 undergraduates, 54 graduate students, and 208 Diploma students graduated on Saturday, April 28, 2018. 8 percent of diplomates graduated with distinctions, while 2 percent of undergraduates obtained first class honours, 39 percent second class upper division degrees, 44 percent second class lower and 15 percent third class.

College of Education Holds Durbar and Colloquium

The College of Education has held a Durbar and Colloquium on the theme: Celebrating Excellence: Shaping the Future of Education in Ghana, as part of year-long activities marking the 70th anniversary of the University of Ghana.

Prof. Kwame Offei, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Academic and Student Affairs, who gave the welcome address, noted that the College of Education was doing very well, and was creating opportunities for students through excellence in teaching, research and scholarship,
