The leadership of the Education Students' Association (EDSA) at the Department of Teacher Education, School of Education and Leadership, College of Education, recently paid a courtesy call on the Provost of the College of Education, Professor Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe.
Ms. Keziah Naa Ashorkor Amarh, the EDSA President, explained that their presence was to formally introduce the executives of the Association to the Provost and discuss possible collaborations that will be beneficial to Education students on campus, as well as other activities and finances of the Association.
Welcoming the executives, Professor Codjoe expressed appreciation for the visit and assured them of the College’s support at all times. He outlined several ways in which his office could assist the Association's leadership.
Additionally, Prof. Codjoe proposed a collaboration between the Association and students of the Colleges of Education affiliated to the University of Ghana College of Education. “The idea is to organise joint programmes that would strengthen ties between the institutions, providing students with opportunities to network and learn from each other”, he remarked. The Provost reiterated the College’s readiness to support any activity the Association plans to have with the affiliated Colleges of Education.
The executives welcomed this proposal and expressed their desire to collaborate with the College in this regard.
In his closing keynote, Professor Codjoe extended his well wishes to the EDSA executives for their tenure and reassured them of the College's continuous support.
In attendance was Ms. Dorinda Yeboah, Assistant Registrar of General Administration at the Office of the Provost.
