College of Education Lights Up 2025 Wear UG Day Celebration

 

The College of Education, University of Ghana, joined the rest of the University community to mark the 2025 Wear UG Day in a colourful and spirited celebration on Wednesday, 15th November 2025. The event, held as part of the University’s 75th Anniversary activities, brought together faculty and staff in a colourful display of pride and unity.

The celebration began with a College-level photoshoot, during which Mr. Joseph Oduro Nkansah, College Secretary, led a team to visit all constituent units of the College. Faculty and staff warmly received the team, expressing their excitement and pride as they posed for photographs in the University’s 75th Anniversary cloth, celebrating not only the University’s legacy but also their shared identity as members of the College of Education community.

Adding to the celebration, the Provost of the College of Education, Professor Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, joined in all the way from Nairobi. He shared photos of himself elegantly dressed in the University’s anniversary cloth, symbolising the collective spirit and unity that the occasion represents, even across distances.

The day culminated at the University-wide event held at the Cedi Conference Centre, where members of the College joined the main celebration. The highlight was a dazzling fashion show that featured creative outfits designed from the 75th Anniversary cloth, reflecting the University’s tradition of excellence, innovation, and pride.

The 2025 Wear UG Day was more than just a celebration of attire, it was a joyful expression of belonging and pride, reminding all members of the College of Education and the wider University of Ghana community of the strong bond that unites them.
