Appointment of Dr. Simon-Peter Kafui Aheto to serve on UNESCO and IAU Committees

Dr. Simon-Peter Kafui Aheto, a Senior Lecturer of Information Technology and Education at the Department of Distance Education, School of Continuing and Distance Education, College of Education, has been appointed to serve on two significant committees by UNESCO and the International Association of Universities (IAU).

The Year in Perspective- Professor Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe’s Appointment as Provost of the College of Education

Professor Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe assumed office as the Provost of the College of Education, University of Ghana on August 1, 2022. He engaged in various activities aimed at introducing himself to the College community, sharing his vision, and encouraging interaction with faculty and staff. During his first year in office, he focused on strategic planning, improving programmes and fostering fruitful collaborations.

75th Annual New Year School and Conference to Be Held from January 9 to 11, 2024

The Annual New Year School and Conference (ANYSC) will mark 75 years in 2024, since it was instituted at the University of Ghana. The School and Conference which will take place from January 9 to 11, 2024, will be on the theme, “Nurturing Resilience: Adopting Technology and Embracing Humanism for Sustainable Development.”

Department of Communication Studies Hosts Second Edition of the Trends in Media and Communication Conference (TiMC)

The Department of Communication Studies has held its 2nd biennial virtual conference to provide a platform for reflecting on the emerging trends in the media and communication spaces globally and in Africa in particular, as powered by fast evolving technology.
The three-day conference, held under the theme “The African Youth and Communicative Behaviours in Digital Spaces”, afforded young African academics and industry leaders the opportunity to interact.

The School of Education and Leadership has recently hosted an International Conference on Disability in Education, with a focus on Sustaining an Inclusive Africa. The Conference brought together key stakeholders, experts and educators to discuss and promote inclusive education policies in Africa.
