IPMC Donates 10 Laptops to the University of Ghana College of Education

In response to the University of Ghana College of Education's request for sponsorship towards the organisation of the College’s maiden Staff and Students' Awards and Dinner Dance, which was held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Great Hall, IPMC delivered ten laptops to the Office of the Provost on Thursday, August 15, 2024, as its contribution to the ceremony.

Director of the Sports and Wellness Directorate Presents Trophies to Provost of College of Education

In a recent ceremony, Dr. Austin Luguterah, the newly appointed Director of the Sport and Wellness Directorate, visited the College of Education to present two trophies to Professor Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, the Provost of the College of Education. Notably, one of the trophies was a replica of the Brazil 2014 World Cup.

College of Education Honours Four Associate Professors in a Maiden Pen Ceremony

The College of Education hosted its maiden “Pen Ceremony” to honour and recognise the achievements of four faculty members who have been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor. The ceremony aimed to inspire academic excellence, encourage research and motivate students to consider careers in academia.

College of Education Bids Farewell to Outgoing Financial Accountant, Mr. Philip Atsu Donkor

The Office of the Provost at the College of Education recently organised a send-off ceremony for Mr. Philip Atsu Donkor, who has served as the College's Financial Accountant for the past eight years. This send-off ceremony follows a reshuffle by the Finance Directorate, affecting officers in various capacities across the University, including Mr. Atsu Donkor, the Financial Accountant of the College of Education. Mr. Donkor, the longest-serving senior member in the Finance Office at the College of Education, has now been transferred to the Student Accounts Office of the University of Ghana.

Dr. Austin Luguterah, the newly appointed Director of the Sports and Wellness Directorate at the University of Ghana, recently paid a courtesy call on Professor Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, Provost of the College of Education. This visit marked the beginning of Dr. Luguterah’s familiarisation visits to the various Colleges, Centres, and Units within the University. As faculty from the College of Education, Dr. Luguterah chose the College of Education as his starting point.

Maiden UGCOE Provost’s Tournament Unites Affiliated Colleges of Education at University of Ghana

The University of Ghana College of Education (UGCOE), in collaboration with the Education Students Association (EDSA), organised the first-ever UGCOE Provost’s Tournament at the sports field near Mensah Sarbah Hall. The event brought together the UGCOE EDSA and three other affiliated Colleges of Education to compete in various activities, with the football tournament being the highlight.
