As the University of Ghana gears up to unveil its newly redesigned website, alongside the websites of its four Colleges, the College of Education has taken a proactive step to ensure an interactive online presence. School and Departmental liaisons recently participated in a focused three-day website contents upload exercise, with the goal of keeping their respective websites vibrant and up-to-date.

COE Takes strides in Men’s Health with Prostate Cancer Screening exercise

As part of activities marking the celebration of the UG@75 Anniversary, the College of Education in partnership with the University hospital hosted a prostate cancer screening exercise on Thursday September 27, 2023. This initiative was aimed at raising awareness about prostate cancer, potential risks associated with it and the need for early detection among male employees.

College of Education Gets new Research Development Officer

Recently, the University Council approved the decentralization of the grant management system (Pre-and Post-Award (PPA) Services at the Office of Research, Innovation and Development (ORID). Following this development, Dr. Ezekiel Acquaah, a Senior Research Development Officer of the Office of Research, Innovation and Development has been assigned to the College of Education to be in-charge of the College’s Research Grants Management Office.

In a dynamic commemoration of the University of Ghana's 75th anniversary, the School of Education and Leadership a constituent of the College of Education,  hosted a lively 1-day public forum and exhibition. The event’s theme: “Enhancing Pedagogical Approaches to Teacher Education and Sports Studies,” gave a close look at the vital role of education and sports in the nation's journey.

College of Education Provost Attends Induction of New Principal and 7th Graduation Ceremony

The Provost of the College of Education, Professor Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, attended the induction ceremony of Dr. Halidu Musah as the new principal of Gbewaa College of Education and the 7th graduation ceremony of the College's first batch of students who pursued the four-year Bachelor of Education (B.ED) programme from 11th and 12 August, 2023 respectively.

Provost Holds Meeting with COE PhD Students

Prof. Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, Provost of the College of Education, has disclosed that his outfit is in the process of establishing a Research Centre to attract grants and enhance students' research capabilities. He indicated that when fully established, the centre would attract collaborations in educational research.
